Revolutionary Nationalist Movement (Puerto Rico)
The Revolutionary Nationalist Movement of Puerto Rico or Movimiento Nacionalista Revolucionario (a.k.a. by its initials in Spanish MNR) is a political organization that arises from the dissolution of the Nationalist Party of Puerto Rico-Liberation Movement(PNPR-ML), on July 25th, 2015. The MNR aspires to the independence of Puerto Rico in order to have a sovereign nation with a fair and democratic government of social participatory character. MNR's short term goal is to organize the Puerto Rican people in a strong solidary force to exercise it's popular power in order to recover Puerto Rico's political sovereignty. The National Board of the MNR made public, via press conference,〔http://elpostantillano.net/component/content/article/318-cartas-de-una-antillanoa/14901--movimiento-nacionalista-revolucionario.html〕 a list of aspirations and goals, for example: the founding of a mutually binding country based in solidarity, a highly democratic government, full of justice and freedom; likewise it will struggle against the exploitation of the human being by other human beings; it will fight against nepotism, plutocracy and lobbying influence inside the government; it will boost the participatory democracy, as well as the agricultural and industrial cooperatives of workers, a mixed economy and the development and growth of agricultural production (highly ecologically oriented), between other aspirations.
